La próxima semana se celebra la Reunión Anual del Proyecto Malaspina 2010. Las reuniones tendrán lugar del 23 al 26 de abril en la sede del Instituto Español de Oceanografía (IEO) en Tenerife y en ellas se expondrán los resultados obtenidos hasta el momento. Está confirmada la presencia de 75 investigadores de distintos centros de investigación y universidades españolas. De Canarias estará presente la ULPGC ya que La Laguna no participó en el proyecto. Concretamente participarán exponiendo resultados los investigadores del Instituto Universitario de Oceanografía y Cambio Global: Santiago Hernández-León, Alonso Hernández-Guerra, Javier Arístegui, Federico Maldonado-Uribe, Theodore T. Packard y May Gómez. Los anfitriones son los miembros del Grupo de Oceanografía Física del IEO (Tenerife). Además la profesora May Gómez llevara la información relativa a la Biblioteca Malaspina, que se encuentra dentro de la Biblioteca de Ciencias Básicas "Carlos Bas", casi dos años después de haber sido nombrada por el proyecto Malaspina 2010, depositaria de sus fondos impresos.
